Hopeless

Well, my morning went well. Kitty and i went to rhyme time at the library. Lunchtime however, was a domestic goddesses disaster!!!! Trying to be all creative and economical, i whipped up some home made play dough. We sat down at Kitty's new little table and chair to play with it, but, being 10mins away from lunch and that way inclined anyway, she took a big bite. Since the dough is basically water, flour and salt, Kitty consequently emptied the contents of her stomach, all over her pretty pinnafore.
With that failure fresh in my mind, i quickly got her dinner ready. Just as i finished heating a jar of toddler food i remembered that i had already made her a nutritious homemade meal last night. So much for perfect parenting!

Cadbury heaven...

Yesterday was possibly the most amazing trip into the city we've ever had. Shopping at Christmas time is not usually quite so exciting, but yesterday, it certainly was. I suppose we got lucky really, right place right time and all that. We were just walking up the hill towards the library, by next when these women all dressed in that wonderful puple colour thrust 3 bars of dairy milk at us! Of course we took them, said thankyou very much, and then....we found ourselves drawn, inexplicably towards the big purple cadbury's truck, which was handing out 'your favourite bar'! So we simply answered the man's questions. I said, my favourite was shortcake, and i got a shortcake dairy milk bar. Steve got bubbly, and Kitty somehow conveyed her love of cadbury's caramel. (Though she can't have it, cos it's just a bit too tooth damaging, and by the time she's old enough it will have gone off, so we'll just have to eat it for her!) So anyway half an hour later when coming out of Boots, about to head back to the car, there they were again, and lo and behold, we were the proud recipients of not one.....not two..... but three delightful fruit and nut bars!!!! What a day! The picture of Kitty is completely unrelated but we thought it was cute.
